The basics
What we do, who we work with, and how to know if it'll work for you.
How fast can I expect to rank?
Most clients see movement within 30 days. Top 3 in the local pack for primary keywords typically by day 60-90. Saturated metros (NYC, LA) can take longer. We'll tell you straight up after the audit.
Do you guarantee rankings?
No agency that's honest will. What we do guarantee is deliverables: every citation built, every review campaign deployed, every page shipped on schedule. If we don't deliver, you don't pay that month.
What if I'm already working with an SEO agency?
We start with a free 30-minute audit. If your current agency is doing solid work, we'll tell you. If they're not, we'll show you exactly what's missing. No high-pressure flip.
What kind of businesses do you work with?
Local Owl works for any business with a physical location or defined service area in the US, Canada, UK, or Australia. We don't do e-commerce or purely online businesses. That's not local SEO.
What's the contract length?
90 days minimum to give the work time to compound. After that, month-to-month. No 12-month traps, no early-cancellation fees, no surprise rate hikes.
How is WisdmLabs involved?
WisdmLabs is our 13-year-old parent company, a 100+ person engineering and digital growth team. Local Owl is their focused local SEO arm. You get a boutique team backed by enterprise infrastructure.
Pricing
What you pay, what's included, what's not.
Is there really no setup fee?
Yes. Your first invoice equals your tier's published rate, nothing more. We don't run discovery-package upcharges, onboarding fees, or one-time strategy-session line items. Setup work happens during the first 90 days and is part of your retainer.
What does 'flat monthly' actually cover?
Every deliverable listed on your tier: citations built, hyperlocal pages shipped, profiles managed, reviews requested, strategy calls. No hours-billed surcharges, no platform fees, no 'tools access' add-ons. If we recommend something outside scope, we quote it before any work starts.
How does the 90-day proof guarantee work?
If we haven't hit the milestone deliverables we agreed to in your first 90 days (specific citations built, pages ranked, reviews acquired), you stop paying. We refund the most recent month and you keep every asset we built. No clawback clauses.
Can I cancel mid-month?
After the 90-day ramp, yes. Give us 15 days written notice and you owe nothing further. Inside the first 90 days you're committed unless we miss the deliverables above, in which case the refund clause kicks in instead.
Can I upgrade or downgrade tiers later?
Anytime, prorated to the day. Most clients start on Starter, then move to Professional once the citation and review engines are running. Downgrades are rare, but if usage drops we'll suggest one before you ask.
The process
What happens after you sign up, how we run the engagement, what to expect month-to-month.
What happens in the free 30-minute audit?
Live screenshare of your profile, a 47-point signal scoring against your current top 3 competitors, and a 1-page action plan you keep. No deck, no pitch, no credit card. Most audit clients take the playbook and run it themselves; the audit stays valuable either way.
Who is my primary contact?
A senior strategist (not an account manager) is your monthly point of contact. They're the person who runs your audit and stays on the account through the engagement. Slack channel or email, whichever you prefer.
What's the timeline for the first 90 days?
Day 1: kickoff and access handoff. Days 2-7: audit complete, milestones agreed in writing. Days 8-30: foundational work (categories, citations, profile fixes). Days 31-60: content + review program live. Days 61-90: ranking validation. If we miss the milestones at day 90, you stop paying.
Do I need to give you full access to my Google account?
We need Manager access to your Business Profile (not Owner), and read-only access to your Search Console. We do not need access to your Google Ads or general Google account. Setup takes ~10 minutes and we walk you through it.
Will you push me toward the biggest tier?
No. Most clients start on Starter and move up only if usage justifies it. We've moved more clients down a tier than up. If you don't need Professional volume, we'd rather you not pay for it. Pricing is published precisely so this conversation doesn't get murky.
