Sample dashboard, illustrative data.
Six places trust is silently leaking from your citation footprint.
Most businesses have 30–60 listings they don't know about, each one a small contradiction Google has to resolve. The algorithm hedges its bet, and you lose rank.
Forgotten Yelp duplicates
Old profiles from a previous office, a previous DBA, or a contractor who claimed it years ago and never gave it back. Splits review signal between profiles.
Aggregator chain pollution
Foursquare, Localeze, Data Axle, and Neustar feed hundreds of downstream directories. One bad record at the aggregator level propagates everywhere, and most cleanup services never fix the source.
Ex-employee created profiles
Listings still owned by someone no longer at the company. Hidden liability and lost trust signal, and a competitive risk if the person ever turns malicious.
Industry directory mis-categorization
Avvo, Healthgrades, Houzz, every industry has its own ecosystem, and most businesses are categorized wrong on at least one. Wrong category, wrong searches.
Apple Maps inconsistencies
Often forgotten entirely, frequently has wrong hours or wrong category. Apple Maps drives meaningful traffic Google doesn't see, and Siri reads from it directly.
Citation chain after rebrand
Business name change, DBA addition, or merger leaves a trail Google can take 6+ months to reconcile on its own. Manual cleanup compresses that to weeks.

Frequently asked.
How is this different from your monthly Get Listed Everywhere service?
Get Listed Everywhere is ongoing, building new citations, monthly drift monitoring, continuous maintenance. Fix Your Listings is a one-time deep cleanup of what already exists, including the abandoned profiles and forgotten duplicates an ongoing service wouldn't surface. Many clients do this once, then move to the monthly service to keep it clean.
I already use Yext or BrightLocal. Do I still need this?
Probably yes, and most Yext/BrightLocal users are surprised by what the audit surfaces. Those tools manage citations you've claimed through them; they don't surface abandoned profiles, ex-employee listings, or aggregator-level pollution. The cleanup complements existing tools, doesn't replace them.
What's aggregator chain pollution?
Four major data aggregators (Foursquare, Localeze, Data Axle, Neustar) feed business data to hundreds of downstream directories. If your data is wrong at the aggregator level, it propagates everywhere, and fixing 50 downstream directories without fixing the source means they revert in 60 days. We fix the source.
Can you actually reclaim a listing an ex-employee owns?
Yes, in most cases. Each directory has an ownership-transfer or dispute process. With proof of business ownership (business license, articles of incorporation, utility bill) and case, we win about 95% of transfer requests within the 30-day window. Edge cases, usually involving estranged co-founders or active litigation, sometimes need legal escalation.
What happens after the 30 days, do listings drift again?
Some will. Directories occasionally pull data from aggregators or other sources and overwrite your record. That's why most clients pair this one-time cleanup with our monthly Get Listed Everywhere service, monthly drift checks catch and fix it before it affects rankings. The directory ledger we hand you also includes a maintenance checklist if you want to DIY.
Why is this a flat fee instead of monthly?
Because it's a finite project, not ongoing work. We surface every listing, clean every duplicate, normalize every NAP entry, and then it's done. Charging monthly for a finite project is how agencies pad invoices. Once the foundation is clean, you decide whether to engage us monthly or not.
