This Privacy Policy explains how Local Owl (operated by WisdmLabs, the “Company,” “we,” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use thelocalowl.com (the “Site”) or contact us about our services.
We’ve tried to write this in plain English. If anything is unclear, email [email protected] and we’ll explain it.
1. What we collect
Information you give us directly
- Contact form submissions. When you submit a form on the Site, we receive your name, email address, business name, and anything you type into the message field. We use Web3Forms to process and deliver these submissions to our team inbox.
- Newsletter signups. If you opt into our newsletter, we collect your email address only.
- Client onboarding data. When you become a client, we collect business information necessary to deliver services: Google Business Profile access, business address, hours, services offered, and similar.
Information we collect automatically
- Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) records standard server logs: IP address, user agent, referrer URL, and request timestamps. These are used to operate the Site and detect abuse.
- Cookies and similar. The Site uses minimal functional cookies necessary for it to work. We don’t currently run third-party advertising trackers. If we add analytics in the future, we’ll update this policy and ask for consent where required.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to inquiries and provide the services you ask for.
- Send you the audit reports, deliverables, and updates tied to engagements you initiate.
- Send transactional emails about your account or active services.
- Send the newsletter (only if you opted in — one-click unsubscribe in every email).
- Operate, secure, and improve the Site.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We don’t sell your personal information. We don’t share it with third-party advertisers. We don’t use it to train AI models.
3. Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers we need to operate:
- Cloudflare — site hosting and DDoS protection.
- Web3Forms — contact form delivery.
- WisdmLabs — our parent company, which provides engineering and operational support.
- Email service providers — to send the newsletter and transactional emails.
Each of these processors handles information under their own privacy terms and only for the purposes we’ve agreed.
We may also share information when legally required (a court order, a subpoena, or to investigate potential fraud), or as part of a business transfer (merger, acquisition, sale of assets). If a business transfer ever happens, we’ll notify you in advance.
4. How long we keep it
- Contact form submissions: 24 months from the date of last contact, then archived or deleted.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Client engagement records: for the length of the engagement plus 7 years for tax and legal records.
- Server logs: typically 30–90 days, per Cloudflare’s retention policies.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights over your personal information, including:
- Access — ask us what we have about you.
- Correction — ask us to fix anything that’s wrong.
- Deletion — ask us to delete it (with some exceptions for legal records).
- Portability — ask us to send it to you in a portable format.
- Objection — tell us to stop processing it for a specific purpose.
- Withdraw consent — for any processing based on your consent.

6. International users
Local Owl operates globally. Your information may be processed in the United States, India, or other countries where our service providers operate. We use standard contractual clauses and similar safeguards where required by law.
7. Children
The Site and our services are intended for businesses and adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with information, email us and we’ll delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
We’ll update this page when our practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be announced via the email on file for active clients and newsletter subscribers.
